Now you can, with the use of a facial scrub or exfoliator, take control of the situation. I have been searching for one, where it must be easy to use and gentle on the skin. Then Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Skin Brightening Exfoliator came along.
The product is marketed as part of its whitening series, especially anything whitening is now the craze of the era. By 'whitening' it doesn't mean the product would bleach your skin to the whitest white that turn you into a phantom; but generally speaking it is defined as stimulating the skin to regenerate and grace it with a healthy, sparkling glow. That's where the craze comes in -- who wouldn't want a beautiful glow on their faces?
To use the exfoliator, squeeze a small amount to your fingertips and gently massage the non-greasy, gently abrasive mixture onto the face in a circular motion to encourage lodging of dead skin cells and blood circulation. But do avoid the eyes area. As soon as you perform the scrubbing, the soothing fragrance of lavendar, along with a faint fragrance of orange peel will enchant and captivate your senses. Not a bad way to start off the day I suppose! Furthermore, it is incorporated with white birch extract which helps to fight photo-aging and hydrate the skin; and anti-oxidative peony extract to ward off free radicals and deter the production of melanin.
Having said that, the product is not without its weakness -- it has used polystyrene microbeads (see ingredients listed below) for the exfoliating properties. However, the plastic microbeads could end up in oceans and cause environment harm and threat to the marine lives. I am confident that in near future, Kiehl's would continue to harness its expertise in naturally-derived ingredients to wow her fans with a new generation exfoliator with natural, environment-friendly alternatives.
